05.09.2023 – Bottlenose dolphin and wavy waves

Bottlenose Dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) are the ultimate oceanic daredevils! With their sleek bodies and infectious energy, they’re the rockstars of the open seas. But what truly sets them apart is their absolute obsession with riding the waves! Today during our wavy conditions we got to experience how they swam through-out the waves as they were hunting for flying fish!

They are so intelligent and today we were able to experience that as they separated in groups and then got together for the main goal: eating! Despite less-than-ideal weather conditions, these Bottlenose Dolphins displayed their incredible teamwork. They formed strategic groups to corral their prey and then seamlessly came together to feast on the day’s catch, showing us that even in the wildest waves, unity prevails!

Though the weather conditions may not always be picture-perfect, the spirit of these wave-loving dolphins shines through.
