It took a while today until there was an encounter with our friends from the Blue Office. This gives the guests time to simply relax. For the crew, this means keeping a focused look. So the gaze wandered into the distance, to the west, south, east, out to the sea, to the coast. Nothing could be seen, except for the small foam caps that concentrated more and more. But suddenly, unexpectedly, small dorsal fins appeared right in front of our bow. Nobody saw the Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) before, they literally sneaked up on us. It was of course a wonderful surprise for all of us to experience this lively, interactive species of dolphin. Today they found us! Sometimes a good feeling too!
And what’s the precious lesson? Perhaps looking into the distance, sometimes also into the future, is not always the best alternative if we want to find and recognize the obvious. Perhaps it is rather crowned with success and also healing to focus on what lies directly in front of us and to appreciate it. Maybe it’s nice to be found by the dolphins, by happiness, by what wants to come to us. Just embrace!
