Heute war Pilotwaltag, heute war “Riberia Brava” Tag, vormittags auf der Tour mit Fatima sahen wir noch einen Gelbschnabelsturmtaucher, der vermutlich vom Fischfressen eine Gräte im Hals stecken hatte und daher kreischend durch die Gegend flog und leicht mit unserem Boot kollabierte. Sr. Luis, der Kapitän hat natürlich umgedreht und nachgeschaut ob es dem Vogel gut ginge. Nachmittags auf der Tour konnte Claudia noch einen Kapverdensturmvogel fotografieren und wir sahen noch einen einzelnen Tümmler bei der Pilotwalschule, ob es wohl der einzige seiner Art war?

Today we had a Pilot whale day! On the Ribeira Brava tour with Fatima we also saw Cory’s shearwater, one bird probably had a bone stuck in his throat from eating fish because he was flying around a little desorientated loudly screaming and ended (gently) coliding with our boat, our Captain Sr. Luís obviously went back to check if the bird was ok. On the afternoon tour with Claudia we saw a Fea’s Petrel and one bottelnose dolphin unther the pilot whales, was he teh only one?

Hoje foi o dia das baleias piloto! No Ribeira Brava com a Fatima vimos além das baleias piloto cagarras, uma delas provavelmente tinha uma espinha atravessada na garganta porque guinchava e voava desnorteadamente que até acabou por embater, levemente, no nosso barco, o nosso Capitão Sr. Luís naturalmente voltou atrás para verificar se o bicho estava bem. Na viagem da tarde com a Claudia acabamos por ver uma freira-do-bugio e um roaz entre as baleias piloto, seria o único?
