18.04.2024 – Surprise number 2!

Just when we thought the week couldn’t get any more thrilling, today’s sightings left us in awe and wonder. As we set out into the azure expanse, little did we know we were in for a treat beyond our wildest imagination.

Our journey began with a majestic encounter with the Sperm Whales (Physeter macrocephalus). Towering and magnificent, these gentle giants gracefully traversed the waves, leaving us breathless with their sheer presence.

But the surprises didn’t end there. As if choreographed by nature herself, we were soon greeted by the playful antics of the Common Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truncatus). Their acrobatic displays and curious glances reminded us of the joy and freedom found in the open ocean.

As if sensing our astonishment, the ocean unveiled more treasures yet to come. The Atlantic Spotted Dolphin (Stenella frontalis), graced us with their sleek forms darting through the water, a mesmerizing sight that etched itself into our memories.

And just when we thought our hearts couldn’t hold any more wonder, the Striped Dolphin (Stenella coeruleoalba), made a grand appearance, their distinctive markings painting a picture of elegance against the backdrop of the sea.

In the wake of Monday’s adventures, each day has unfolded with its own surprises, leaving us humbled by the beauty and diversity of marine life. Today’s sightings remind us of the magic that awaits when we venture into the unknown, a reminder to cherish every moment and embrace the wonders of our natural world.
