13.03.2015 – Glückstag – lucky day

Freitag der Dreizehnte, als Unglückstag verschrieben, brachte uns am Vormittag eine schöne Sichtung eines Finnwals, einem erwachsenen Tier, und später noch eine Schule von Grossen Tümmlern. Das Meer war, wie eine portugiesische Redewendung sagt “Mar de azeite” so ruhig als ob Olivenöl auf der Oberfläche läge, was ein paar schöne Fotos entstehen liess. 

Friday the 13th, for a supposedly unlucky day, in the morning trip we had a very nice encounter with an adult Fin Whale and later on a pod of Bottlenose Dolphins. The sea was very calm today, as in a typical Portuguese expression “Mar de azeite”, the sea surface so calm that it looks like olive oil has been splitted at the sea surface, which made it possible to take some nice photos…

Am Nachmittag, auf der Suche nach einer Delfinschule, hatten wir das Glück, dass ein Finnwal nicht weit von der Stenella entfernt auftauchte. Zusammen mit einem schönen NW-Schwell entstand eine tolle Szenerie und wir erhaschten tolle Blicke

In the afternoon, looking for a pod of dolphins, we had big luck, when a Fin Whale surfaced not far from our vessel Stenella. Together with the nice swell from the NW, it created a special scenery during the trip.
