            keine Fahrten, no trips 22/23.11.2010

On our last trips we had some sightings of turtles, Loggerhead turtles. They are easy to see when the sea is flat and their journey had been already a long one till they pass here near madeira island. They are coming from the sandy beaches at the cabverdian islands or middle america, where they slip out of the egg and beginn their lang journey. After about 30 years they come back to these beaches and are ready to put eggs by themselves. Only 1 of 1000 turtles reaches here our waters around madeira island.
