13.08.2017 – By the way… some special facts

Published by lobosonda on August 21, 2017

Today we had a day with very different trips. During the morning we saw calm swimming Bottlenose dolphins. At our noon trip we unfortunately saw nothing. But during our other trips we had Sperm whales, one Sei whale, Atlantic Spotted dolphins and Common dolphins. Out there, everything is always different. We never know what happens. But our Spotter gives always his best.

By the way, the heaviest tooth of a Sperm whale weights 1kg and with 9kg he has the biggest brain in animal kingdom.

By the way, the word “Sei” in Sei whale comes from the Norwegian word for Salomon. The Norwegian observed that every year Sei whales and Salomon were seen at the same time in the same area.
