Today was our first day with the newest member of our fleet: Steno. Like Stenella, it is a RIB. However, Steno has two engines instead of one, 18 instead of 12 seats, and those seats are even suspended, which makes for a more comfortable ride. Steno is named after the rough-toothed dolphin (Steno bredanensis).
It was quite a successful first day. Our guests saw striped dolphins (Stenella coeruleoalba), Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis), two fin whales, and the grand finale was a hunting group of short-beaked common dolphins (Delphinus delphis) just outside the marina in an incredible light, topped with a short glimpse of a flying fish (Cheilopogon melanurus)!
