28.06.2024 – Summer mood

Who spreads this cheerfulness, a simple lightness and summer mood? Our Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis)! Spotted dolphins prefer warmer water temperatures. If it gets too cold for them here, they head south. But summer here is reserved for our small, agile Spotted dolphins. Today we also had some wonderful moments with this dolphin species. We also encountered a school of Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus). However, they were somewhat reserved towards us. That’s okay, because after all, it’s our marine friends who decide whether they want to interact with us.

There were also Bottlenose dolphins at lunchtime and in the afternoon. On the midday tour, the dolphins were more meditative, in keeping with our yoga group.

In the evening, our guests had a lovely tour with bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic spotted dolphins.
