A loooong day, a short blog! Over the course of the day, our guests were able to observe a wide variety of marine mammals. We had Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus), Short-finned pilot whales (Globicephala macrorhynchus), Striped dolphins (Stenella coeruleoalba), Short-beaked common dolphins (Delphinus delphis), Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis), Sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus), Loggerhead turtles (Caretta caretta) and many Portuguese man o’ wars (Physalia physalis). A great diversity of species for which we can be grateful.
A small note, please be careful when swimming in the Atlantic at the moment, as the Portuguese man o’ wars are very close to the coast in masses.
