Looking at the weather forecast for the next week, all efforts are being made to make the most out of this week in terms of bookings and possible trips for our dear guests. If the prediction maintains the archipelago will be hit by a very strong storm coming from the West quadrant. Heavy rain showers, strong Gail winds and high waves are expected and preventive measures in the harbour and boats are being taken. Trips today on board Stenella like on the previous ones, we have seen groups of Short-beaked common dolphins (Delphinus delphis) leading the hunt for Snipefish (Macroramphosus scolopax), a life broadcast of intense foraging behaviour, before the upcoming storm. This ability to predict and sense drastic weather changes has been observed in many species, wether on land, water or air…..
