Rough conditions today lead to uneasy whale watching. With every white wave out there possibly being a dolphin or whale, it was hard to spot the beautiful Sperm Whales (Physeter macrocephalus) that Carlos had found for us. It only made it more special; therefore, after watching their blows for quite some time, a juvenile whale decided he would turn and engage in some people watching. After scanning the boat carefully, he treated us to a tail-slapping display and most spectacularly, a breach! Just goes to show if you can survive the rough conditions, you can reap the rewards.
