20.02.2026 – Beautiful visitor from the north

On both tours and different boats today we had both Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) and Short-beaked common dolphins (Delphinus delphis). In the morning, the Bottlenose dolphins were a little more reserved. At midday they wanted to accompany the traditional fishing boat in the bow wave. It seems to me that the Bottlenose dolphins have a preference for the Ribeira Brava anyway. Is it because of the thrust? Or is it because it is easier for the guests on this boat to admire them? Maybe they like it?
