Heute ist bei Lobosonda “Tag der Atlantischen Fleckendelfine” zumindest für die Gäste und die Crew beider Boote, die heute raus auf das Meer fahren konnten. Am Morgen gab es wunderschöne Situationen mit dieser kleinen Delfinart. Mehrere Hundert Tiere waren in viele, kleinen Grüppchen weit verteilt. Und das Boot hatte ständig tierische Begleitung. Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis für unseren Geburtstagsgast. Herzlichen Glückwunsch vom Lobosonda Team! Die Ribeira Brava hatte zuerst eine Fresssituation und später Tiere, die sich kuschelig mit dem Boot verhielten und hohe Sprünge veranstalteten.
Leider mussten wir ein Stück Fischernetz aus dem Meer holen, in welchem sich ein Gelbschnabelsturmtaucher verfangen hatte. Der Vogel war leider schon tot. Eine Haupttodesursache für Hochseevögel ist Plastik und Müll wie dieser.
Today we have the „Day of Atlantic Spotted dolphins” at least for our guest and the crew who could go out on the ocean. During the morning trip we had beautiful situations with this small dolphin species. Several hundreds of animals were wide spread out in lots of little groups. Constantly the animals went along with Stenella. This was an unforgettable experience for our birthday person. Happy Birthday from our Lobosonda team! Ribeira Brava observed a feeding situation and later on animals which were very cuddly with our boat and performed high leaps.
Unfortunately we picked had to pick a dead Cory’s Shearwater which was caught in a chunk of fishing net out of the ocean. One of the main causes of dead for high sea birds is plastic and waste like that.
