Tursiops truncatus / Globicephala macrorhynchus
Pilotwale strecken gern einfach nur den Kopf aus dem Wasser, das nennt man “spyhooping”. Gestern sahen wir nur kurz die Tümmler, aber dafür waren sie heute zusammen mit einer Schule Pilotwale unterwegs, die wir gut beobachten konnten sowohl vor als auch nachmittags. Vormittags sahen wir auch noch 2 Pottwale, die aber gleich abtauchten.

Pilot whales like to spyhoop, they did it a lot today. Yesterday we saw only very short bottlenose dolphins, but today the’ve been together with a pod of pilote whales and we could observe them fine as well in the morning and the afternoon. In the morning as well we saw 2 sperm whales, diving immediately when we approached.

Bocas de panelas gostam de por a cabeça fora da agua, chama-se “spyhooping”, e hoje fizeram bastante isso. Ontem vimos só brevemente roazes, mas hoje eles tiveram juntos com um grupo de bocas de panela e conseguimos observar bem, tanto de manha como a tarde. De manha vimos também 2 cachalotes.
