Sunday afternoon, still with a relatively calm searching area in front of Calheta and with very little boats outside, we had a group of Bottlenose dolphins right in front of the harbour of Calheta. This group was demonstrating some evasive behaviour and some tail slapping. After a short time we left the group and continued our trip further out. The next sighting was in front of Cabo Girão, extreme SE of our search area. But with a lot of other boats observing the same group of Bottlenose dolphins, we decided to head back to Calheta.
