            Physeter macrocephalus

            Stenella frontalis

            Stenella frontalis

Today we saw twice bottlenose dolphins (in the morning and the afternoon), atlantic spotted dolphins (morning) and sperm whales (afternoon). Slowly approaching to the cetacean, as more careful we are, as more we have to observe without stressing the animals . . .

            Tursiops truncatus (baby) 10:33

            Tursiops truncatus 16:19

Is it possible to make reservations in advance? We are planning to visit Madeira during 14 – 28 of August and would love to be at sea to spot whales and dolphins with you! .

                Hi Mariko,
August is the high season on madeira island and as well on the ocean. Our boat only takes 12 passengers and so it is good to book in advance. Best is by mail info(at)lobosonda.com or in the beginning of your holiday by phone 00351 968 400 980.
See you on the “Ribeira Brava” 😉 Claudia

Hi Paul, we saw 4 close together, 1 a bit behind and our spotter saw more 2 closer to shore. There might have been even more, that we didn’t saw, but fore shore there were 7 sperm whales passing. All were swimming to the west and so they passed Paul do Mar and your sunny houses 😉
