We hope all our guests had a wonderful Valentine’s Day full of loving moments. Love comes in so many different forms. Sometimes it is so delicate, so gentle, that you have to really pay attention to it so that it doesn’t pass you by unnoticed. Here at sea, love means appreciating not only the big, special things, but also the seemingly small events. Like the first Cory’s shearwaters (Calonectris borealis) arriving back on the island after their winter vacation. They represent Hollywood and a happy ending, because like many seabirds, they are monogamous. Or the dolphin mother who keeps her calf protectively by her side. Just as we were able to observe this morning with the bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus). The beauty of the Portuguese man o’ war (Physalia physalis) can inspire admiration for the many facets of nature. This is also a form of love. Or the kind, heartfelt words of appreciation from a guest the morning after our tour. Thank you very much! The birthday girl surrounded by her friends is also love. I hope you recognize the small and big miracles on your journey through life.
