November brings wind, November brings waves. The view from the land did not reveal that there were steep waves waiting outside. But in the midst of this ups and downs Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) and Pilot whales (Globicephala macrorhynchus) enjoyed the wave ride. While the Bottlenose dolphins surfed together in the moving sea, the Pilot whales swam consistently against the wave. That certainly costs a lot of energy! But the situation changed, because suddenly the Pilot whales began to use the power of the sea and “flew” on wave crests through the sea.
While enjoying this spectacle, it occurred to me that this can be a symbol of our own behavior. How often does a human being resists on a seemingly awkward situation? What a force this requires! But what is possible, if man makes the use of his situation and rides the wave of life? Might it then be possible to enjoy these circumstances, like the Bottlenose dolphins, who jumped happily over wave crests or the otherwise so cozy Pilot whales that dynamically use the power of the sea?
In the store, there was another reason for the team to not resist: Karen’s heavenly Lemon cake! Thank you Karen, we love this delicacy!
