On our morning tour, we were escorted by a sea-torn for a while. It almost seemed she was our airy body guard. 🙂 We saw Cory’s Shearwaters sailing over waves and here and there a small bird with the sonorous Portuguese name “Alma negra” (Black Soul) fluttered across the surface in its classic style. The English name is unfortunately not quite as poetic: Bulwer’s storm petrel (Bulweria bulweirii).
When we arrived at a school of Atlantic Spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) their hunt was over and they had time to escort us for a while. It was a nice sighting!
