The day started as usual at the Lobosonda office: check-ins ✅ briefing ✅ ready to go out ✅
We went out searching for the cetaceans, and as usual our spotter had something in sight… we almost knew what it was, the most seen species lately, the Short-beaked common dolphins (Delphinus delphis) and we were right. They were jumping and making themselves show. Soon after we got a call, there was something else…. Our captain, Pedro, drove carefully until the next sighting: Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus). It’s fantastic when we have one sighting but having two sightings, is even better! All clients, I might say, were very happy 😊
In the afternoon, we had a private charter with our traditional boat, Ribeira Brava, with a fantastic group of 6 families from Poland. Yet again we had the wonderful Short-beaked common dolphins. It was entertainment enough for the little ones as it was for the big ones.
