10.08.2019 – Time travel into the now

A slightly rainy morning on the sea brought us a very calm sighting of Pilot whales (Globiscephala marcrorhynchus) mixed with powerful, yet equally relaxed Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus). It was such a silence on the sea and these moments with the marine mammals were like time traveling into the now. How to imagine that? Everything around you is forgotten, there is only this one moment with the sea and its inhabitants. All the everyday important things just slid for a little while into the huge void of nothingness. A wonderful, very relaxing experience! Afterwards it became more lively with the Atlantic Spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis). A rare sighting of a very shy Pgyme killer whale group (Fresea attenuata) formed the conclusion of the morning tour on our boat Stenella. We do not want to deprive you of a not very sharp photo, you will find it in the photo gallery.

There was a wonderful combination of Pilot whales with Bottlenose dolphins on almost all our tours today, and one thing is certain: today the animals were full of cuddles! We were spoiled with close contacts, the perfect “Syp-hop” (animal peeks head up out of the water) and great leaps. We were traveling together with these beautiful creatures of the sea. And those who lacks her eyesight saw with the depth of her heart. This has touched the crew on board very much. Thanks a lot! But in the end, everyone enjoyed their experiences deeply and hopefully will carry these moments with them for a long time! That, too, makes us very happy! And who knows, maybe it was also your best holiday experience.
