Globicephala macrorhynchus

Der Oktober beginnt mit einer Sichtung von Pilotwalen. Die Vormittagsfahrt der “Ribeira Brava” sah ein kleines Grüppchen mit großartigen Pilotwalen. Ein kräftiges Männchen, welches nahen Kontakt zum Boot suchte mit einigen Mutter-Kalbpäarchen. Sie durch die Wellen ziehen zu sehen, so kraftvoll, war ein tolles Erlebnis. Am Nachmittag gab es leider nur eine Schildkrötensichtung, doch unsere Gäste waren fröhlich und freuten sich darüber. Vielen Dank für solche Gäste. Einen besonderen Gruss an Wolkenmaya, die heute nicht in den Wolken nach Delfin,- oder Walmotiven suchen musste 😉

October has begun with a nice sighting of pilot whales. In our morning trip with “Ribeira Brava” we saw a little group of pilot whales. One big male that came very close to the boat and several mother-calf combinations. In the afternoon sadly we only saw one turtel, but our guests where very happy! We love understanding guests, we don’t control the ocean and even if we could we woodn’t.

Outubro começou com um belo avistamento de baleias piloto. Na viagem da manhã vimos um grupo pequeno destas baleias, um macho grande acompanhado de várias fémeas e crias. Na viagem da tarde infelizmente apenas vimos uma tartaruga, mas todos a borda estavam felizes! Ficamos felizes quando os nossos clientes são compreensivos e entendem que ninguém controla os avistamentos, é sempre uma questão de sorte!
