Today Ribeira Brava, our beautiful, traditional fishing boat, sailed out into a fairly calm sea. After all the waves of the last few days, it felt good. A large school of Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) was about 5 nm off our coast. This dolphin species is one of the best known dolphins, as they are often kept in dolphinaria. A terrible place for an intelligent creature that belongs to the wild. So there is only one thing to do: avoid visiting a dolphinarium. This is an active way to protect these wonderful animals. Dolphins belong in the sea. This is the only right place.
