The first of April started slowly with the sighting of two bottlenose dolphins, heading west. Because dolphins are rather social animals, we wondered, where the remaining main dolphin school was. Only short time after this encounter, Carlos, our spotter found us a small group of common dolphins, which turned out to be very energetic. We managed to observe a wild hunt and feeding activity. Fish jumped out of the water, in order to escape from the hungry marine mammals chasing them. Also many Cory Shearwater birds were around, trying to catch prey for themselves. The water at this spots seemed to boil because of all the rapid movements. Also the guests on our afternoon tour were again lucky and could observe the commons during another feeding activity. Not always easy to follow their fast movements. The dolphins speed up underwater, sprang out of the water, turned around themselves at the same time, always trying to catch some delicacy. It was another great day on the water. Thanks to mother nature.
