July 13, 2010Heute sahen wir Tümmler, Fleckendelfine und einen großen Pottwalbullen.
Today we saw bottlenose dolphins, atlantic spotted dolphins and a big sperm whale.
Hoje vimos roazes, golfinhos pintados e um cachalote muito grande.

Markante Finnen halten wir zur Fotoidentifikation fest, dieser Delfin hat aber eine Wunde.
Dorsal fins are important in the photoidentification, these one shows a woond of theses animal.
Barbatanas dorsais são importante na fotoidentificação, este dorsal mostra uma ferida do animal.

Außerdem hatten wir vormittags ein Geburtstagskind an Bord.
Nachmittags konnten wir einen Pottwal beobachten, hier sein schräger Blas, der auch noch lange in der Luft hing und dann die typische Sequenz des Abtauchens.
In the afternoon we observed a sperm whale, here is its tipical blow to the left side, that stays in the air for some time and then the typical way of diving into the deep.
A tarde fui possível observar um cachalote, aqui o seu sopro típico para o lado esquerdo que fica no ar até algum tempo e depois o seu mergulho para o fundo do mar.

….da haben wir wohl knapp den Pottwal verpasst – es war trotzdem sehr schön, vielen Dank!
Ja, so kann es gehen, jede fahrt bringt Neues. Unsere Anstrengungen, Tiere aufzuspühren, sind aber immer die gleichen.
