Today we had one tour and a lot of reasons to say thank you. Being grateful is a beautiful attitude. All of our guests were thankful today for this wonderful marine experience with four different species. We enjoyed Bottlenose Dolphins (Tursiops truncatus), two Tropical Whales (Balaenoptera edeni), many Atlantic Dolphins (Stenella frontalis) and an active school of Striped Dolphins (Stenella coeruleoalba). All encounters were wonderful. Of course, I could tell a lot about these four species, but actually it is very important to me to tell you something about the fifth species, us humans. As already mentioned, many guests said thank you to us after the tour. What probably connected us all today was our gratitude to nature and the fantastic marine mammals. What connects us humans with one another, what enriches us and touches our hearts, is the expressed gratitude that we feel for someone else, for their deeds. A nice lady said “thank you” many times. During and after the introduction, during the tour and afterwards. This attitude of thanks reminded me how important a thank you is. It expresses mindfulness, awareness, appreciation and loving interaction. It gives the other person a good, warm feeling and the feeling of doing something important. There is a feeling of having made the other person happy. This shared moment of happiness is something valuable, a treasure of the heart. This appreciation expresses that what has been done has been seen. A thank you is when two souls meet. A thank you is shared love.
I am infinitely grateful today. I am grateful for the wonderful nature; for our friends in the blue office; for our wonderful guests; for this inspiring lesson on gratitude; for the team that made this possible. A thank you for the big and the small is an attitude that deeply enriches everyday life. And what are you thankful for today?
