We went far out and waves were waiting for us out there. But not only that, but also two Sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) made their way through the waves. The first Sperm whale could only be seen from a distance, but the second came closer. Did you know that a sperm whale’s brain weighs between 8-9 kg? Well, no wonder, because the head takes up two-thirds of the body.
In the afternoon, the Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) joined us. It’s a very nice experience every time. Fortunately, they are sociable dolphins.
Today, the Ribeira Brava behaved like a Hollywood swing XXL. For some guests, it was a pleasure and the opportunity to unwind; a little challenge for the stomach for other guests.
