17.02.2016 – Difficult birth

Beside the sea was much calmer then the last days, it wasn’t that easy to find the marine mammals. Our guests perhaps feared that we will only observe some Portugiese Man of War. All together it was 3 times, that our spotter lost the small group of Common dolphins before we reached them. They were passing by so quiet and camouflaged by the ocean surface, but then they began to feed. And when they feed on Needle fish, they leap a lot. A Northern Gannet nosediving tried to catch one fish as well, then doing circles around the dolphins and disappeared towards the west. A difficult birth today, but a nice sighting.
