Claudia’s Eindrücke: Eine ganze Hand voll unterschiedlicher Delfinarten gab es heute auf unserer Stenellaausfahrt zu sehen: Zuerst eine große Schule kräftiger PILOTWALE, die Westen zogen, oft in Paaren und mit vielen Jungtieren. Auch die Pilotwale gehören zur Familie der Delfine. Dann FLECKENDELFINE, und auch später die RAUZAHNDELFINE, beide Arten schienen nervös zu sein, vielleicht wegen der Pilotwale oder der GROßEN TÜMMLER, die schwungvoll unterwegs waren. Und die STREIFENDELFINE, wie so oft gaben ihre Show ungeachtet des Bootes und vollführten tolle Sprünge in gebührender Entfernung. Zum Schluß gab es dann noch 2 FALSCHE KARETTSCHILDKRÖTEN, beide recht nah am Ufer.

Claudias impressions: Today we had a handful of sighings, all different kinds of dolphins. On our Stenella tour first we saw a pod of PILOT WHALES travelling West in couples and mainly with little ones. The pilot whales belong to the family of dolphins. After we saw SPOTTED DOLPHINS and with a short break in between the ROUGH-TOOTHED DOLPHINS, both kinds seemed to be nervous, we suspect it might have been because of the pilot whales or the BOTTLENOSE DOLPHINS. The STRIPED DOLPHINS gave a great show just like so many times, not minding the boat while keeping their distance, with great jumps in the mix. The end the tour we saw 2 LOGGERHEAD SEA TURTLES near to the coast.
