19.09.2026 – Dolphins party !

It was a beautiful day to go out and see animals! Our guests aboard bot boats were so excited to see cetaceans on this late summer morning and their expectations were met with our classic summer visitors.
A large group of Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) was hunting around 4nm off the coast of Madalena do Mar. The pod was split into many different hunting pods, each consisting of around 20-30 animals and this allowed our boats to not crowd on the same group, making it a lot easier to achieve the low impact sighting we aim for. In the afternoon we also saw spotted dolphins along with a pod of Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus), a very important predator species in our region.
Considering the animal’s well-being should not be the exception anymore – it must become the rule. Our oceans are saturated with environmental problems and the last thing we want, is to become one of them. If anything, we want to show our clients that there is still a lot worth saving out there! We hope our guests got the gist today and will do what they can for our oceans.
