In the morning, we went out to an unruly sea with a lot of waves and spray. We searched west but went without luck. However, everyone was still exited about adventurous ocean conditions. In the afternoon, Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) showed up for some cetacean action.
The morning Stenella trip was my last trip as a summer guide with Lobosonda. With a no sightings, it was a little bit of an anticlimax. However, it allowed me to reflect on my experience over the summer. I was lucky enough to have so many special sightings and it was an honour to be part of this team spreading knowledge and excitement about our spectacular wildlife. I will always enjoy remembering my first summer as a whale watching guide, it’s been my absolute pleasure.
