There are common combinations of marine mammals, such as the Short-finned pilot whales (Globicephala macrorhynchus) and Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus), which we saw together today, and unusual combinations, such as the Sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus), which were in the company of probably the same group of Bottlenose dolphins we had seen before. The latter was an incredible sight.
All three species were seen again at midday. Bottlenose dolphins and Pilot whales were seen separately, while Sperm whales and Bottlenose dolphins were seen together again.
