Heute hatten wir zwei Fahrten vom Fischerdorf Machico aus . Am Morgen ging die Fahrt entlang der wunderschönen Küste von Ponta de São Lourenço wo unser Vigia eine kleine Schule von Tümmlern gefunden hatte. Sie waren aber nicht sehr interaktiv und hatten kein grosses Interesse an unserem Boot. Deshalb haben wir immer etwas Abstand gehalten .
Today we had two trips starting from the fishing village Machico. In the morning trip along the beautiful coast line of Ponta de São Lourenço our Vigia located a small pod of Bottlenose Dolphins socializing, but not interacting very much with our boat, so we kept our distance.
Vor dem Beginn der Nachmittagsfahrt konnten wir die Thunfischer bei ihren Vorbereitungen bewundern, …. dieses Handwerk der Männer ist interessant zu beobachten . Auf unserer Fahrt sahen wir wieder Tümmler, diesmal in einer besseren “Stimmung” und wir waren in der Lage, ein paar schöne Sprünge zu sehen, immer mit der schönen Küste im Hintergrund. Zum Schluss haben wir unsere Ausfahrt mit mehr als 80 Gemeine Delphinen in einer Art ” Ansturm ” auf ein grossen Fressen beendet. Eine phantastische Szene.
In the afternoon trip shortly before the start of the trip, we were able to admire the tuna fisherman setting up their gear, ….the handcrafsmenship of the men is interesting to whach. In the afternoon trip we saw again Bottlenose Dolphins, in a better “mood”, and we were able to see some nice jumps, with the nice coastline as a background, and in the end we finished the trip with over 80 Common Dolphins in a sort of “stampede”, most likely towards a feeding situation creating a fantastic scenery.
