Today we went to the west to watch a school of Striped dolphins (Stenella coeruleoalba). At the beginning, they put on a show. Long, flat jumps over the sea surface, they used the fact that air resistance is lower than water resistance to travel faster. There were some other great jumps, also backwards but these dolphins were not in the mood for more shows today. Twice we encountered Striped dolphins, both times the same restrained behavior. We would like to have shown our guests even more but that was not possible today.
