As soon as we left the harbour, our spotter told us that he had seen a jump 3 nm off Calheta. He guided us into the area. Here we had to do the precision work. So all eyes searched 360 degrees around the boat for marine mammals. Ze Mauricio, our captain, spotted the three Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus). We had a few moments with these animals before we had to say goodbye to them.
