Our guests were great today! Sightings are not always easy. The weather made it difficult for the spotter to see. But he spotted Blainville’s beaked whales (Mesoplodon densirostris). However, they decide to make a long dive before we arrived at the observation area. These whales can stay underwater for 40-60 minutes. We waited, we waited, but one whale showed up. Our guests were really patient. But all’s well that ends well. The guests were able to observe these shy whales after all. A whale calf was in their midst.
