As it happens this morning we met Stenellas while we were out with our boat Stenella. Their scientific name is Stenella frontalis or in English Atlantic Spotted dolphins. This is an unusual sighting for winter time because they prefer warmer areas. These dolphins from the genus Stenella are fast and lively … not without a reason our speed boat got the name Stenella.
