Today we had to leave some serious miles behind us. The first group of Common dolphins wasn’t so interested in us, and they did showed this very clearly. Probably the mothers were a little bit nervous regarding our presence because of the little ones. So we left the group and headed in the direction of Funchal to find another group of dolphins.
Decisions like this sometimes have to be made in order for us to have beautiful sightings with both parts being happy, our guests and the animals.
The other pod we found was a big group of Spotted dolphins, these ones where keen to get in contact with us. Them came close to the boat, showed us some beautiful jumps and everyone came back happy to the harbor of Calheta.
