Today’s sightings around Madeira Island were truly captivating as our two different boats set out for a marine adventure. At 9:30 Ribeira Brava, encountered the playful and charismatic Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) alongside the friendly and well-known Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus).
The afternoon proved to be equally exciting for the crew as, at 13:30 and the other following trips, we had another delightful encounter with the Bottlenose dolphins. Our second boat Stenella, had its own share of remarkable sightings.
The waters around Madeira Island continue to be a thriving habitat for an array of marine species, making it a hotspot for nature enthusiasts and researchers alike.
These sightings provide valuable insights into the behaviors and interactions of these remarkable creatures, contributing to our understanding and appreciation of the ocean’s biodiversity. As the sun sets on another eventful day of marine exploration, the memories of these encounters will surely linger in the hearts of those fortunate enough to witness the wonders of the deep blue sea.
