On our midday tour, a guest asked us, as the Ribeira Brava drove faster, if we had a destination, a goal we are moving towards? In fact, that was the case because we wanted to reach the distant Atlantic Spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis). Animals can be our goal, but that’s not all …
… it is also our goal that the guests feel comfortable on board and at Lobosonda. Our goal is to give our guests a nice memory. We hope to be able to touch you with the experience you make on board and also with our own love for the marine mammals. Our goal is to be informative about marine mammals and the ocean. Our goal is to spread the idea of protection for these wonderful animals as much as possible. Our goal is to behave as guests on the sea. Our goal is to observe the animals and to learn from them. And our goal is, above all, to meet dolphins and whales in a respectful way. Whether we have a goal? Yes, even quite a few! And maybe our guests, one or the other, will be with us.
During our sighting with the shy Blainville Beaked Whales (Mesoplodon densirostris) it became very quiet on the Ribeira Brava … so quiet that we could hear the whales’ breath. Relaxing and touching! Yes, after a long drive we reached the destination of the tour, the Atlantic spotted dolphins! Fascinating and touching! Have we achieved the above mentioned goals? Only our nice guests can answer that. 🙂
