Astrid’s Eindrücke: Spiegelglattes Meer und klare Sicht, das waren optimale Bedingungen für einen wundervollen und erfolgreichen Tag auf See. Schon am Morgen gab es drei verschiedene Meeressäugerarten, verspielte FLECKENDELFINE und eine gemischte Schule mit PILOTWALEN und GROSSE TÜMMLERN. Auf den beiden Nachmittagstouren gab es eindrucksvolle Sichtungen mit PILOTWALEN und in weiter Ferne auch einen POTTWAL. Viele Schildkröten inklusive, die sich an der Meeresoberfläche aufwärmten. Eine davon mit vernarbtem Rückenpanzer.
Sichtungen des Tages:
Ribeira Brava 10.00: FLECKENDELFINE und eine gemischte Gruppe PILOTWALE zusammen mit GROSSEN TÜMMLERN.
Ribeira Brava 15.00: PILOTWALE; mehrere UNECHTE KARETTSCHILDKRÖTEN
Stenella 15.30: GROSSE TÜMMLER; PILOTWALE; POTTWAL; UNECHTE KARETTSCHILDKRÖTE (2 Tiere an einer schwimmenden Europalette)

Astrids impressions: Today the ocean was like a big mirror, so calm and clear, the conditions were perfect for a successful day. On the morning tour we saw three different kinds of sea mammals, the always fun SPOTTED DOLPHINS and one pod of PILOT WHALES mixed with BOTTLENOSE DOLPHINS. On both afternoon tours we had nice encounters with PILOT WHALES and a little bit further on the sea a SPERM WHALE. Lots of sea turtles that were laying on the surface to get a little sun heat.
