Best summer weather so far this year – the hole day with no clouds on the sky!! And it was a long day today, for crew and spotter it went beat on strike, but not all our sightings were easy to find: Socialized Pilot whales and Bottlenose dolphins were far out from shore. The Common dolphins have been interactive only on the morning trip (so it was perfect to let some guests in to snorkel with them). For the afternoon trip we only met one solitaire Bottlenose dolphin and we can assure that it wasn’t the recently stranded one, which was guided back to the ocean by some local people. (“our bottlenose” today din’t have the vertical scar near the eye). And for the Blainville’s beaked whales we needed a lot of patience, which payed out, like the photos may prove.
