On our tour today, the guests saw a large school of Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus). We have our inshore population here. Sometimes we only see 1-2 animals, then again a group of 7-15, but today there were at least 30-35 dolphins. They were travelling east. These coastal Bottlenose dolphins are resident animals for us. They have chosen the waters of Madeira as their home.
