The morning on the Ribeira Brava with the Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) was a very gentle experience. There was a pleasant silence in the air. The animals carefully approached our boat and we enjoyed having them around us. There were beautiful situations to watch with the little dolphins in the bow wave.
On the way back, the Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) kept us at a distance.
In the afternoon, the observation of the Sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) had a completely different atmosphere. They were powerful, energetic. The animals stayed in proximity to one another. We saw tail lobbing, some breaches and the submergence of the powerful whales.
