            Globicephala macrorhynchus

Einige hatten Glück und andere weniger. Heute vormittag sahen wir diese wunderschönen und friedlichen Pilotwale und einige Tümmler dazu.

            Tursiops truncatus

Some have been lucky and some less. Today in the morning we saw these wonderful and peaceful pilot whales and some bottlenose dolphins.

            Globicephala macrorhynchus

Alguns com sorte e alguns com menos. Hoje de manha vimos estes boca de panelas bonitos e pacíficos e alguns rozes.

              Dolphins ‘decompress like humans’

Stranded dolphins are common along the coast of Cape Cod in winter months

Scientists have found tiny bubbles beneath the blubber of dolphins that have beached themselves.

The bubbles were discovered by taking ultrasound scans of the animals within minutes of stranding off Cape Cod, US.

The team’s findings help confirm what many researchers have long suspected: dolphins avoid the bends by taking long, shallow decompression dives after feeding at depth.

Greetings to everyone from Sunny ‘Paul do Mar’ fishing village!
