Today’s afternoon tour was like an Easter egg hunt. According to the weather forecast, conditions were supposed to be at their best for the final tour. But that was far from the case. It turned into quite a choppy ride. It took patience. But in the end, the change of location by our spotter Silviano had paid off. Near Cabo Girão, the moment had finally arrived and our guests encountered the second-largest animal on our planet. According to information from Funchal, four Fin whales (Balaenoptera physalus) were in the waters around Madeira today. We came across a small Loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta) during our trip. In the end, we brought our guests back with a salt crust.
