We had a peaceful and beautiful morning tour today. The three encounters with the marine mammals were to enjoy, relax and exhale. The Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis), which we met first, showed us that they can sometimes be very calm. The Blainville beaked whales (Mesoplodon densirostris) are quieter companions anyway. They are often in small groups, consisting of a male and several females with young animals. The animals moved close together through the sea, the group feeling was clearly visible and noticeable.
The Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) moved a little faster through the sea, but despite nothing, it was a very peaceful, balanced encounter.
In the afternoon, there were also very peaceful encounters with the Atlantic spotted dolphins and Blainville beaked whales.
Perhaps today’s sightings were a good indication to take a deep breath and take it easy in times of stress. Everything that should be will be.
