09.08.2023 – Unveiling Today’s Aquatic Symphony in Madeira!

Published by Paula Thake on August 17, 2023

Today we had a playful pod of Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) that made their grand entrance, by breaching alongside our boat. Although the sighting was great, we had to leave a little bit quick as our captain had received the call that the playful  Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) appeared. Their joyful acrobatics brought smiles to all faces, and in the midst of the festivities, a Loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta) emerged, casting a serene spell upon the scene.

As the day soared higher, our connection with the sea deepened as the Atlantic flyingfish (Cheilopogon melanurus) decided to join our maritime fiesta, adding an unexpected touch of wonder to our day.

Join us again tomorrow as we set sail for more encounters with the sea’s enchanting residents, and remember, every ripple holds a story waiting to be discovered. Until then, let’s keep our hearts and minds tuned to the rhythm of the tides.
