The Atlantic spotted dolphin was definitely the superstar of the day. Despite the difficult conditions that prevailed at sea since last weekend, we managed to track and observe this species on all our tours today. I had the pleasure of guiding a very enthusiastic and patient group of guests on the Ribeira Brava and even managed to polish up some of my rusty French skills when explaining the bioloy of some of the animals. The amount of dolphins during the sightings increased towards the evening, much to the delight of our guests and our crew. It’s always so rewarding to meet people that feel grateful for the experience of seeing dolphins interacting with us in the wild and this again underlines one of the elementary philosophies of our company; dolphins belong in their natural habitat and it is just such a pleasure to see them there.
